World of WearableArt in Petone

World of WearableArt (WOW) commences on the 27th September thru to 14th October 2018.

WOW is a major design competition event in Wellington which attracts over 56,000 visitors to our region, with many ladies shopping and lunching along Jackson Street during this time,  As WOW is celebrating its 30th year this year.  In the 30th year Wow has expanded its offer this year to include:

Edible Art
WOW is taking from the theatrically stage to the plate where you will see some amazing creative dishes being produced by some of our well-known culinary notables.  These dishes will be inspired by reflections and deep blues and purples.

The People’s Choice – Window Display
During the show season, you the public will be asked to vote for your favourite Edible Art entry. We will be encouraging you to look for those Eateries in the Wellington Region, that have said they will be participating in this competition.  Watch this space for regular updates who our local heroes are through our Facebook platform (I Love Petone).  Please go along to support these businesses.

Jackson Street, Petone is the Jewel in the Crown as you enter the Hutt Valley.  It combines an eclectic mix of old buildings with fantastic cafés, boutique shopping together with beauty and commercial services. The retail strip boasts a huge variety of specialty shops, cafés, bars and restaurants that supply a wide range of ethnic foods, great coffee and goods not available anywhere else.
